Child Safety Standards
मुलांच्या सुरक्षेबाबत झीरो टॉलरन्स — हे आमचे प्रकाशित स्टँडर्ड्स आहेत.
App: KaunHoTum · Developer: Ankit Lokare
हे स्टँडर्ड्स लीगल टेक्स्ट आहेत, म्हणून प्रत्येक एडिशनमध्ये इंग्रजीतच आहेत — सगळीकडे एकच वचन, भाषांतराने फरक नाही.
1. Our commitment
KaunHoTum has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). KaunHoTum is an adults-only platform for users 18 and over. Protecting children is non-negotiable and takes precedence over any other feature or consideration.
2. Age policy
Access is strictly limited to users aged 18+. We enforce this with a mandatory date-of-birth age gate at signup, and our systems reject any account whose declared date of birth is under 18. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account. If we discover a user is a minor, we remove the account and delete the associated data.
3. What is prohibited
Any CSAM; any sexualisation of minors; grooming, enticement, or solicitation of a minor; and any attempt to contact, meet, or exploit a minor. Violations result in immediate removal and a permanent ban, and we report them to the police.
4. How we prevent and detect it
We screen every uploaded image against databases of known child sexual abuse material — hash-matching through Project Arachnid Shield, operated by the Canadian Centre for Child Protection — before the image is stored or shown to anyone. A match blocks the upload, permanently bans the account, and preserves the evidence reference for reporting. We also run automated content moderation on images and text moderation to detect grooming and enticement, and we act on user reports. Detection combines automated tools with human review.
5. How to report
Every profile, photo, and message has a one-tap Report option, including a category for child-safety concerns and underage users (in the app, the category reads “18 se kam umar / child safety”). Users can also report directly to the authorities: National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) or the 1930 helpline in India, and the NCMEC CyberTipline (report.cybertip.org).
6. What we do when CSAM is reported or detected
Hash-matched CSAM — including morphed or AI-generated images — is blocked at upload and never stored or shown to anyone (see §4). For a prima-facie report of anything that reaches us another way, we disable access to the content within 2 hours, preserve the evidence reference, and permanently ban the account. Every confirmed case is reported to the police — our duty under POCSO §§19–21 — and we cooperate with law-enforcement requests. We are completing registration with the NCMEC CyberTipline so that confirmed detections are also reported into the international system; until those credentials are issued, our reporting runs through Indian authorities.

8. Legal basis
IT Act, 2000 §67B; Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 (incl. §§19–21 reporting duties); IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, as amended by the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Amendment Rules, 2026 (in force 20 Feb 2026); Google Play CSAE policy.
9. Continuous improvement
We review these standards, our detection tools, and our reporting processes regularly and update them as the law and best practice evolve.
